House of the Seven Gables are exquisite playing cards, inspired by the Turner-Ingersoll mansion, a seven-gabled mansion in Salem, Massachusetts, belonging to Hawthorne’s cousin Susanna Ingersoll, as well as ancestors of Hawthorne who had played a part in the Salem Witch Trials of 1692. This set contains both decks: Lazarus and Eleazar.
Each deck is a limited edition of 2,500 with a custom numbered seal, and features deluxe copper/gold/black/cream foil on tuck exteriors crafted from premium matte black/brown stock, embossing, inner-printing, and fully custom artwork. Apart from the high-quality physical construction, the stunning illustrations are clearly a standout element of these decks; from the court cards to the tuck boxes to the fantastic jokers, the pictures speak for themselves.
